A wild finish with three goals in the final four minutes gives Dortmund an away point as Bremen defense struggles continue.

Fans in Bremen were treated to an absolute highlight on the eighth gameday of the German Bundesliga. Werder Bremen came in as the highest scoring offense in the league but also allowed the most goals scored in falling to the middle of the table. And Jürgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund side had worked its way into the upper half of the bunched together standings.

Few Highlights in First Half

Bremen spent most of the first half in Dortmund territory with a couple of decent chances coming from both teams as Dortmund eventually found their way out from the backfield. And the scoreless game continued until just before the hour mark.

Frei Opens Scoring on 59 Minutes

Swiss international Alexander Frei stepped up to the spot for a penalty kick after Bremen captain Frank Baumann took down Sebastian Kehl in the area. And Frei converted into the upper right corner for a 1-0 Dortmund lead.

Baumann Makes Good Mistake in 68th

The Bremen boss made good his miscue nine minutes later as Baumann found a hole in the Dortmund defense and headed home the equalizer off Sebastian Boenisch's cross.

Dortmund Regains Lead on Counter in 72nd

The hosts pushed forward looking for the lead but were picked apart by a counter attack. Jakub Blaszczykowski collected a long pass and was initially stopped by Aaron Hunt but found a streaking Mats Hummels who beat Bremen keeper Tim Wiese from 10 yards.

Pizarro Evens Game on 88 Minutes

After Naldo struck the crossbar the Bremen push continued and finally evened the game again with two minutes left as Pizarro was on hand to pounce home Boenisch's deflected shot.

Pizarro Appears to Score Winner One Minute Into Injury Time

The Peruvian international struck again with some fine footwork a minute deep into injury time, getting past Weidenfeller and hitting home in one motion to give what nearly everyone in the stadium thought would be the game-winner.

Zidan Rains on Bremen Parade A Minute Later

But Dortmund refused to give up and had time for one final attack a minute later. Florian Kringe's shot was fisted away but right to the feet of Egpytian international Mohamed Zidan, who blasted home the final score from 12 yards sending the Bremen fans home in shock.

Typical Bremen Game - Loads of Goals on Both Ends

The game featured six goals in the final 31 minutes and proved to be a typical Bremen encounter - a contest in which both teams score plenty of goals.

Bremen Drop to Lower Half of Standings

The loss drops Bremen all the way down to 10th in the Bundesliga standings with 12 points. But Thomas Schaaf's team is only four points behind current leaders Hoffenheim and Hamburg - the latter of whom play on Sunday. Dortmund are seventh with 13 points.

Bremen Backfield Too Passive

Schaaf's team has scored the most goals in the league with 22 while having given up a league-high 19 - three more than second worst Arminia Bielefeld. And the coach said something must be done in the backfield, telling German sports channel Premiere after the game on Saturday: "We are much to defensive on defense. We cannot continue to play like this if we want to contend for the Bundesliga title."
