The 2008 European Championship will be staged in Austria and Switzerland between June 7 - 29 this year.
For only the second time the championship will be shared between two nations, the previous occasion being in 2000 when Belgium and the The Netherlands co-hosted the tournament.

Germany are currently favourites for the title, with Spain, Italy and France also among the leading contenders.
However with countries such as England conquerors Croatia also competing, the 2008 European Championship is expected to be one of the most open of recent times.
